After studying architecture, Annabelle earned a trusted reputation in the interiors industry.
In 2003 she launched SCIN, an independent materials sourcing and advisory company with a library, gallery and event space in Clerkenwell, London.
Ten years later, by chance, a book printed on straw paper landed on her desk and became the turning point to a move into the world she now loves. Annabelle's mission is to turn crop waste and grasses into a mainstream raw material, keeping trees in the ground whilst providing a new revenue source for farmers.
Founding Tensei in 2016, a biotech business, she developed the usability of waste materials from the 'second harvest'. Tensei are specialists in material innovations that help protect the planet, utilising alternative natural fibres to engineer the next generation of materials.
Along the way Annabelle has judged, won and presented many awards for her work in sustainable materials, attended committees (Design Schools, Design Associations), written many articles on materials innovation, for numerous magazines and has willingly helped hundreds of students progress their knowledge through universities mentorships.
Presently, she also a proud Board Advisor to the Carbon FreeGroup.
