We are hoping to inspire you all in a day of active engagement to discuss a number of topics which have been highlighted by our first tranche of signed up members. The program has been built around the 4Ps principle of management that the Carbon Free Group has developed to identify areas of focus and maximize economic and carbon impact, as we accelerate towards a Carbon Free future.

The program has been built around the 4Ps principle of management that the Carbon Free Group has developed to identify areas of focus and maximize economic and carbon impact, as we accelerate towards a Carbon Free future.

The 4Ps are Project, Policy, Process and Product and represent a reference point to pull all our activities back to, thus threading them through everything we do.

The afternoon table sessions are:

  • How to raise £100M - an interactive session to look at strategies to raise serious cash. The idea here is not necessarily the reality of the £100M (it could be £100B!), it's about how as a group we can raise the capital required to make the biggest impact possible.
  • Community Housing - An emerging opportunity that has been highlighted by a number of members, where we as Carbon Free Group can make a real impact and draw upon the skills of the membership base to deliver on exemplar zero-carbon initiatives projects.
  • Democratising decision making and participation within CFG initiatives - CFG is about what we do together and how we decide and manage to push against inequality and self-interest in order to re-engage a more shared and equal future. What CFG does can hold a vital clue and key to what we all do tomorrow.
  • How can CFG help you influence your organisations policy and how we are going to influence local and national government policy to benefit members - the process of early commercialisation can be tricky for new technologies. Additionally, red tape and out-of-date policy has an impact on rapid deployment of successful models so we will look at how CFG can successfully impact on policy at the national, regional and corporate level to effect the changes needed by your organisations.
