Alistair Gould MRICS, CEnv., FRSA

Alistair is a Social Entrepreneur working in the field of low carbon design, project co-ordination and communications. He is a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Environmentalist passionate about developing cross sector collaborative professional partnerships and in 2008 he co-founded the Carbon Free Group.
The output of his work includes the delivery of 'The Pines Calyx', acting in the role of Project Director for the UK’s most sustainable commercial building and home of The Carbon Free Group.

Alistair has worked extensively, since the mid 80s, on the design and delivery of Cleantech solutions and methodologies in the construction industry, through executive & directorship roles in property development and building materials companies. In the mid 90s Alistair founded both Clearvision Lighting Ltd (researching and developing healthy office lighting and delivering the ‘virtual daylight’ standard within the UK commercial sector) and Helionix Group Ltd (researching & developing healthy and sustainable approaches to construction through the work of the Helionix Designs team).

Helionix Designs has, since 1998, been undertaking regenerative design and partnered research work in delivering healthy (and sustainable) homes and workplaces. Alistair is responsible for strategic project management and co-ordination, working in particular on project implementation and delivery for Kent and Sussex based projects.

Helionix Designs has to date received eight regional, national and international awards for its ongoing work in respect of the Pines Calyx project and is today leading new University partnered research into ultra low impact building design and construction methods.

Alistair is also an active Trustee of a number of environmental charities.
